One of Paddy’s. I enjoyed it more to start with (possibly contrast) than by the end.
She is a rather pompous woman and there is plenty of name- dropping of literary and other celebrities she has known. Also quite preachy and un- self reflecting in tone. But a good list of novels/novelists at the end.
As much about rural England as books.
